Baba Farid - Father of Punjabi Poetry

First post of my blog is dedicated to "Baba Seikh Farid", who is considered to be the "Father of Punjabi Poetry".
----

Says Farid,I thought I was alone who suffered.I went on top of the house,And found every house on fire.
----
This is something that truly reflects our busy life, now a days.

Why did you forget me ? This is not fair. Is it that you don't know how to write( mails / letters etc.) or you actually forget me.
----
He was born in the Multan district of what is today Pakistan.Later, when the Sikh holy book the Adi Granth Sahib was compiled, many of Baba Sheikh Farid's poems and couplets were included, alongside the poetry of Kabir and Ravidas.
